Carlos Bujosa is a pianist active in the fields of Lied and chamber music, with a career that combines vocal and instrumental repertoire within the European context.

He was awarded First Prize at the competition of Juventudes Musicales de España together with soprano Alba Valdivieso, which has led to a concert tour throughout Spain. In this context, he has been particularly recognized by the jury for his work as a collaborative pianist. Previously, he was awarded First Prize at the 10thSigüenza International Piano Competition, and has been a finalist at the 19thIntercentros Melómano Competition and the 21st Les Corts International Competition, as well as a semi-finalist in the piano category of the Juventudes Musicales de España Competition.

He was selected for the Lied the Future programme (2026/27) of the Franz Schubert Association, within which he made his debut at the Schubertiada de Vilabertran. He has been invited to participate in international academies and festivals such as the Britten Pears Festival (United Kingdom), the Brahms-Festival and Hidalgo-Festival (Germany), Musique à Flaine (France) and the Delta Chamber Music Festival (Spain).

He has performed in venues such as the Musikverein, the Berliner Philharmonie, the Gran Teatre del Liceu and the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía.

He has also appeared as a soloist with orchestra performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23.

In the field of interdisciplinary work, he has participated as pianist in the production La Nit de Sant Joan (Soirées de Barcelone) —a ballet with music by Robert Gerhard, scenography by Joan Junyer and libretto by Ventura Gassol— in collaboration with the dance company of Antonio Ruz.

His training includes a Master’s degree in Piano Performance at the Musikhochschule Lübeck (Germany) with Konstanze Eickhorst, as well as studies at the Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona with Stanislav Pochekin, where he was awarded a scholarship from the Ferrer Foundation for Music. He has received support from several institutions, including AIE, Deutschlandstipendium, Ad Infinitum Foundation, the Government of Catalonia and the Pedro Pons Foundation.

In Lied and chamber music, he has received guidance from musicians such as Julius Drake, Malcolm Martineau, Hartmut Höll and Wolfram Rieger, as well as pianists such as Paul Badura-Skoda, Dmitri Bashkirov, Claudio Martínez-Mehner, Boris Berman and Josep Colom.

He is currently continuing his specialization in Lied and chamber music at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien with Markus Hadulla and Avedis Kouyoumdjian.
