Carlos Bujosa is a pianist specialising in Art Song and chamber music, known for his communicative, intuitive and highly responsive approach to music-making. His work is driven by listening, dialogue and shared interpretation, seeking to create performances in which music emerges from genuine interaction and mutual trust on stage.
With a solid background as a solo pianist, he brings a strong sense of structure, colour and stylistic awareness to collaborative repertoire, moving naturally between different styles and aesthetic contexts. Alongside his work in Art Song and chamber music, he also collaborates regularly in contemporary music and interdisciplinary projects.
Carlos has performed in Spain and internationally, with concerts across Europe and the Middle East, including Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Poland, Norway and Israel. He has appeared at venues such as the Berliner Philharmonie, the Musikverein Vienna, the Gran Teatre del Liceu (Barcelona) and the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía (Valencia).
His festival appearances include the Delta Chamber Music Festival, Musique à Flaine (France), the BISMA Festival (Lusławice, Poland), the Panticosa International Festival and the Semaine Internationale Piano et musique de chambre de Blonay (Switzerland).
He is particularly active in the field of Lied, where he collaborates closely with singers in the development of coherent recital programmes and long-term artistic partnerships. Together with soprano Alba Valdivieso, he forms Duo Florestan, an emerging Lied duo dedicated to the creation and performance of narrative-driven recital programmes such as Inner World – Outer World and Arrel: Myth and Identity. Their work is centred on close musical dialogue and the development of performances shaped through long-term collaboration. The duo has been selected for the talent development programme Lied the Future (2026/27), an initiative of the Franz Schubert Association.
Based in Vienna, Carlos is currently completing a Master’s degree in Chamber Music and Art Song Interpretation at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw), where he studies with Avedis Kouyoumdjian and Markus Hadulla. He previously earned a Master’s degree in Piano Performance at the Musikhochschule Lübeck under Konstanze Eickhorst, following earlier studies at the Conservatori del Liceu (Barcelona), where he was a Ferrer-Salat Foundation scholar.
